As part of the ongoing Anti-Malaria Month awareness activities, a comprehensive Malaria Awareness Camp was jointly organized by the Mass Media Wing and the Anti-Larva Wing at UPHC Bhagwan Nagar to educate the public about the prevention and control of malaria. During the camp, community members were sensitized about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, preventing water stagnation, eliminating mosquito breeding sites, recognizing the early symptoms of malaria, and seeking prompt medical attention. The initiative aimed to encourage active community participation in creating a malaria-free environment. Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, in her message, emphasized that malaria prevention is a shared responsibility. She urged the public to adopt preventive measures such as using mosquito nets and repellents, ensuring proper sanitation, and cooperating with health teams during surveillance and anti-larval activities. She stated that awareness and community action remain the strongest tools in the fight against malaria. Present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh and Prabhdeep Singh, Deputy Mass Media Officers; Sukhpreet Singh Sangowal and Rajwinder Singh, MPHWs; Harwinder Kaur, LHV; Amandeep Kaur and Kulwinder Kaur, ANMs. They actively participated in spreading awareness and motivating residents to become partners in the mission to eliminate malaria.
