ADC Poonam Singh inspects booths across constituencies, directs BLOs to speed up outreach and mapping of un-mapped voters

Ludhiana, June 7 (Rajkumar Sathi). On the directions of Election Commission of India and Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, special camps were organized on Sunday at all 2,927 polling booths across all assembly constituencies by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to accelerate the progress of mapping the remaining voters under pre-SIR voter mapping. Additional Deputy Commissioner (G)-cum-Additional Electoral Officer Poonam Singh, conducted inspections at polling booths in various assembly constituencies to check the presence of BLOs and reviewed the voter mapping work being carried out by them. She visited booths number 2, 3, and 4 under Ludhiana Central at Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College near Bajwa Nagar.Booth Nos. 52, 53, 54, 55, 56 under Ludhiana West: at Government Elementary School No. 5, College Road, Civil Lines. Booth Nos. 132, 133, 134, 135, and 136 under Ludhiana North constituency in Government High School, Kundanpuri. All BLOs were found present at these booths. Singh directed BLOs to enhance voter mapping efforts and increase outreach to voters. Additionally, instructions were issued to share the list of un-mapped voters with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and representatives of local political parties. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, BLAs appointed by various political parties and local councillors were also present. The Additional District Electoral Officer also asked the BLAs and councillors to assist the BLOs and help in mapping the un-mapped voters.
