Ludhiana, July 14 (Rajkumar Sathi). Conducting a review meeting regarding monsoon preparedness, Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal directed the concerned officials to ensure proper working of the sewer treatment plants (STP) to avoid choked sewer lines or waterlogging. The meeting was held at MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar on Monday and the concerned officials of operations and maintenance (O&M) cell were also directed to ensure regular desilting of Buddha Dariya. MC Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh, Chief Engineer Ravinder Garg, SE Parul Goyal, Executive Engineer Parshotam Singh, Executive Engineer Ekjot Singh and officials of the contractor firm (Buddha Dariya project) participated in the meeting. Dachalwal stated that the concerned officials and the contractor have been directed that the STPs should run at full capacity, so that sewer lines remain clear and there should be no waterlogging. Further, the officials of O&M cell have been directed to monitor the situation at ground level on a regular basis and ensure regular desilting of Buddha Dariya.
