Ludhiana, Sep 25 (Rajkumar Sathi). For expediting the ongoing project to cover Dhokka Mohalla/Dharampura nullah, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi conducted an inspection at nullah site on Friday morning. Strict directions have been issued to the concerned officials and the contractor for expediting the work and completing the same as soon as possible. During the inspection, Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MLA Prashar also interacted with the area residents and took feedback. Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MLA Prashar said that the project witnessed a few minor issues in the recent past due to the rainy season, but the concerned officials have now been directed to speed up the project and complete the same at the earliest. The officials have been warned that no laxity would be tolerated in this context.
Superintending Engineer (SE) Ranjit Singh among other officials of the civic body were present during the inspection. Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MLA Prashar said that Shivaji Nagar nullah has already been covered and soon Dharampura nullah project would be completed. Residents of Dhokka Mohalla, Dharampura and other adjoining areas will get a major relief after the completion of the project especially during the rainy season. No stone is being left unturned the facilitate the public at ground level. Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and MLA Prashar further said that working under the guidance of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann, major people centric projects are being taken up across the city. The focus is on sustainable development and projects worth crores are being taken up to develop quality infrastructure.
