
Ludhiana, July 13 (Rajkumar Sathi). With Municipal Corporation (MC) Ludhiana moving forward to implement e-office, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar and Deputy Mayor Prince Johar distributed tablets among councillors at MC Zone A office on Monday. The tablets have been distributed among 15 councillors from different parts of the city. Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar and Deputy Mayor Prince Johar stated that the decision to purchase tablets was taken by the general house of MC for implementation of e-office. The civic body officials have been directed to distribute these tablets among the remaining councillors as soon as possible. After distribution of these tablets, the meetings of the Finance and Contracts Committee (F&CC) and of the MC general house would go paperless. It will not only save paper, but it will also encourage transparency and efficiency. Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar said that a number of initiatives are being taken to promote e-office and this will also save time. The aim is to provide timely and hassle free services to the residents.
