Strongly Condemn attack, express solidarity with affected families
Ludhiana, May 10 (Rajkumar Sathi). Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, today visited Dayanand Medical College (DMC) here to meet civilians injured in a reprehensible attack by Pakistan in the Ferozepur district. The leaders expressed solidarity with the affected families and condemned the attack.The injured are residents of district Ferozepur and had sustained severe burn injuries in the attack, are currently receiving comprehensive medical care at DMC. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema met with the injured civilians and their families, expressing deep concern and assuring them of the Punjab government’s unwavering support during this challenging time. He strongly condemned the attack, stating, “Such cowardly acts against innocent civilians are utterly unacceptable and demand a strong response.
Pakistan’s actions are reprehensible and deserve the strongest condemnation.” MP Sanjeev Arora echoed the sentiment and stated that the Punjab government is taking all necessary steps to support the victims. Both also met with hospital authorities to review the medical care being provided. They were apprised of the meticulous medical treatment being provided to the injured at DMC Ludhiana. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Cheema said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is continuously monitoring the situation and that the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of Punjab’s citizens. “The Chief Minister is actively engaged, and we are committed to providing all possible assistance to the affected individuals and their families,” he added. Finance Minister Cheema also appealed to the public for calm and unity in the face of this challenging situation. “We must remain united and vigilant to safeguard our state and its people,” said cheema.
