In an exemplary display of dedication and efficiency, Shubham and Sahil, employees of Municipal Corporation (MC) Ludhiana completed their assigned census duty within just four days, despite being allotted a timeline from May 15 to June 13, 2026. Their remarkable performance has been widely appreciated by the civic administration and is being seen as a motivational example for other enumerators engaged in the ongoing Digital Census-2027 exercise.

Recognising their sincere efforts and commitment towards public service, MC Commissioner-cum-Principal Census officer Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta, felicitated Shubham and Sahil with appreciation certificates. She praised them for completing the task well before the stipulated deadline. She said that such dedication reflects a strong sense of responsibility and inspire other employees to carry out their duties with similar enthusiasm and efficiency. MC Joint Commissioner-cum-City Census Officer Vineet Kumar, Zonal Commissioner Jasdev Sekhon, Superintendent Tarun Goyal among others were present on the occasion. Under the Digital Census-2027 initiative, House Listing Blocks (HLBs) have been allotted to enumerators for conducting a door-to-door survey and collecting detailed house listing information of residents. The survey started from May 15 and continue till June 13. The exercise is aimed at ensuring accurate and updated data for future planning and development. Officials stated that timely completion of census duties helps streamline the overall process and ensures smooth execution of the survey. Meamwhile, MC Commissioner Dr Gupta appealed to the residents to cooperate with the enumerators. Further she appealed and motivated the enumerators to complete the census survey at the earliest.
