Spreading patriotic fervour, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur unfurled the national flag to mark 77th Republic Day celebrations at MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar on Monday. Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar, Deputy Mayor Prince Johar, Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh among other councillors and civic body officials also congratulated the residents on the occasion. Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the constitution and democracy. She further appealed to the civic body officials and staffers to respect the constitution and work with transparency and efficiency for the betterment of the society. Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur also urged the residents to perform their duties towards the society and support the authorities in keeping the city clean and green. MC Joint Commissioner Vineet Kumar, Joint Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Neeraj Jain, Assistant Commissioner Gurpal Singh, Assistant Commissioner Jasdev Sekhon, DSP Raj Chaudhary among otherd were present during the R-Day celebrations.
