The Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) successfully organized “Industrial Punjab 2.0: Vision, Reforms and Realities”, a high-impact dialogue aimed at exploring the opportunities, reforms, and ground realities shaping Punjab’s industrial landscape. The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Lokesh Jain, General Secretary, LMA, who set the tone for an insightful afternoon. This was followed by a contextual overview by Mr. Amit Thapar, President, Ganga Acrowools, who highlighted Punjab’s industrial contribution—28% to employment and 24% to government revenue—while acknowledging existing challenges, particularly in skill development. Compliance Reduction Process (CRP) has significantly improved the ease of doing business. Infrastructure and traffic issues in focal points were highlighted, alongside the Buddha Dariya cleanup initiative. Startup funding delays despite the presence of progressive schemes were noted as a concern.
